1. POSITION VACANT: Senior Manager- Finance, Oxfam India, New
Delhi
2. BACKGROUND:
Oxfam commemorates 65 years in
India in 2016. Oxfam Great Britain came to India for providing
full scale humanitarian response during the Bihar famine of 1951 and
has since supported civil society organizations, across the length and breadth
of the country.
Oxfam India is
part of a global confederation of 17 Oxfams and came into
being in 2008, integrating the operations of six separate Oxfam affiliates,
working separately in the country. The Oxfams are rights-based
organizations that fight poverty and injustice by linking grassroots
programming (through partner NGOs), to local, national and global advocacy and
policy-making.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a senior role reporting to the Director-
Operations, with responsibility for leading all financial operations,
including accounting, auditing (internal and external), statutory compliances,
grants management, budgeting and MIS for the organization. The Senior Manager
- Finance shall have overall charge of the accounting, finance and
reporting functions of the organization.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Preparing budgets for the entire organization, including soliciting
inputs, consolidation, adjustments and finalization, with cross-functional
teams at multiple locations;
(2) Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual manangement information statements and exception reports;
(3) Supervising regular operations of the accounting department, including timely month-end and annual closing, to ensure compliance with accounting standards;
(4) Managing and supporting project specific and internal and external audits, to ensure the timely closing of audits;
(5) Preparing financial reports for the global team of Oxfam International;
(6) Managing donor proposals, reporting and complying with financial policies;
(7) Improvising financial processes in alignment with organisational needs;
(8) Managing and maintaining strong relationships with banks, financing renewals and investments;
(9) Building the capacity of all Oxfam India staff, particularly finance staff and partners;
(10) Managing back office operations of the Fund raising Department;
(11) Ensuring statutory compliance across the organization;
(12) Working on special assignments like cost effectiveness, forecasting and funding scenario development;
(13) Helping draft papers for the Finance and Audit Committee and Board of Directors meetings.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicants must be CAs/ ICWAs/ CSs and/or have equivalent professional qualifications in finance.

Experience:
(1) Applicants must possess a minimum of eight years of post-qualification experience in providing financial services to organizations, preferably with at least two years in the not-for-profit sector;
(2) Experience of overall management of the accounting, finance and reporting functions of the organization, with the help of a team.

(2) Proven knowledge of computerized systems, especially Oracle Financials ERP and spreadsheets;
(3) Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal and written skills in English;
(4) Strong inter-personal skills, with multi-disciplinary teams based at different locations;
(5) Ability to prioritize tasks and requisite commitment to meet deadlines;
(6) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
(7) Ability to make strong, independent contributions, as well as be a team player;
(8) Ability to work with a diverse group of people, in an atmosphere of mutual respect;
(9) Hands on experience of power point presentations.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross remuneration budgeted for the position is between Rs.
15-18 lacs per annum. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications,
experience and salary history of the selected candidate.
6. LOCATION:
New Delhi. (Note: During the course of employment, the post
holder may be required to move base on a temporary or permanent basis, to any
workplace controlled by Oxfam India).
7. TENURE:
Fixed term contract for three years, renewable based on
performance.
