Background:

In order to expedite the process of developing District Epidemiological Profile (DEP) reports across north-east districts, DAKSH project has developed a template for a report brief that features automatically generated factsheets and graphs, in addition to a manually-prepared brief snapshot of the epidemic situation. This template will be used as the basis to generate reports for all 330 districts. To support the auto-generation of factsheets and graphs for the report brief, DAKSH team has developed a national database of multi-year (up to and including 2011) program, surveillance and census data. FHI 360 is hiring a short term consultant through its DAKSH project (to be placed at FHI 360) to provide technical support in finalization of the national database and DEP reports. This person is to work as a team along with DAKSH staff.

Specific scope of work:
1. Contribute in compilation of data from different sources of information -- compile the data from different sources of information such as word document to excel formats or from excel to specific excel formats for the north-east and other states.
2. Contributing in update the existing national database with 2012 information.
3. Update of the existing DEP reports according to the latest national database.
4. Contribute in finalization of DEP reports in coordination with other team members
5. Coordinate with NACO on behalf of FHI for matters related to DEP report finalization
6. Coordinate with the printer for printing and distributing the DEP factsheet and other books.
7. Support in organizing training and workshops on use of the Data Quality, Data Analysis and other OR workshops.

Deliverables:
1. Compilation of data and finalization of DEP report for north-east states.
2. Update the existing reports and finalize as per the updated national database for high prevalent states and others. 
Education Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Public health, Health management, Statistics and Social Sciences. 
• Strong verbal communication and writing skills in English and Hindi essential.
• Excellent computer skills including MS office (word, Excel, PPT).

Tentative number of days and timeline:
• 3 months 

Contract Clause: 
• Continuation of engagement will be reviewed based on performance in the first month
• Data provided to consultant should be used only for the purpose of this assignment and not be shared with anyone without due permission from FHI 360 and NACO

Compensation:
• Compensation levels at FHI 360 are equivalent to market rates within the development sector. However, offers shall be based on history of fee/salary, relevant experience and qualifications.
