It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. Project Brief:
Public Health Foundation of India has set up an Immunization Technical Support Unit (ITSU) to provide technical support to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that willand assist in revitalizing and successfully implementing the Universal Immunization Program (UIP). ITSU will provide technical and management expertise and build capacity to design, create, implement, and institutionalize a stronger immunization program fully lead by GOIthe Government of India.
Deliverables:
  • Oversee completion and correctness of all data entry tasks of AEFI reports received at the AEFI Secretariat
  • Support technical team by capturing and analysing data of causality assessment meetings of state and national level and collating it with reporting and investigation data
  • Support Data entry team in enhancing data quality by implementing data error checks and verification of data from hard copy
  • Ensure timely preparation/compilation and dissemination of data, maps, indicators, line list, presentations, reports and bulletins of AEFI surveillance for national level and all states
  • Analyse state wise HMIS data and prepare monthly AEFI reporting monitoring dashboard and prepare mismatch letters to be sent to states as feedback
  • Develop queries and programs for analysis and data extraction for related reports
  • Develop AEFI data entry forms and apply data entry checks in various data management tools and systems for District, State and National level
  • Limit the risk of data loss by taking regular back-ups, implementing steps necessary to ensure that data processing environment is free of virus problems.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor with objectives of improved information management of all immunization components.

Qualification:
Essential Essential
  • 4 years of proven experience of data analysis with a minimum of 2 years of national or sub national experience.
  • Ability to develop databases and MIS packages.
  • Capability to develop MIS tools in MS Excel to manage data.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (word, excel, power point, outlook, Access)
  • Knowledge of basic statistical analysis.

Desirable
  • Working knowledge of Access, SQL or VB
  • Knowledge of database applications / software (MS Access, VB net, HTML, PHP and/or other statistical packages like Epi Info / SPSS / SAS / R.)
  • Mapping software like Arc View, Epi Map
  • Knowledge of routine immunization programme
  • Exposure to Health Management Information System (HMIS) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW-GoI)
  • Ability to compile and analyse large scale and diverse data.
  • Ability to share information harmoniously with multiple partners and work in a multi-cultural team environment.

Annual Salary (CTC) will be based on the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
