3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Director - SRH is a mid-management level position in the organization responsible for ensuring overall technical and programmatic quality and growth of MAMTA’s reproductive and Sexual Health (SRH) programs. The AD-SRH would be responsible for a team of professionals and the implementation team(s)/ partner(s) and work in close collaboration with the M&E team. S/he would report directly to the Project Team Leader of the theme for technical and administrative issues. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Coordination of interventions in states and districts
• Leading and providing technical support and guidance to SRH team members in planning, implementing and reporting various project activities
• Providing management support to the project team 
• Representing the project at State and district authorities and at other stakeholders meetings 
• Developing effective liaison with state/district health officials and other stakeholders;
• Analysis of project data, generating evidences and documentation 
• Managing administrative and HR issues of the implementing team(s) as necessary;
• Ensuring regular reports are submitted from the MHIMC regional offices and/or implementing partners, including all relevant management information
• Conducting capacity building programmes with state/ district level stakeholders on SRH
• Donor reporting.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: 

Qualifications:

Applicants must be a Post Graduate/ Doctorate in Social Sciences in Public Health Management/ Social Sciences/ Social Work/ Population Sciences or a related field, from a reputed institute. 

Applicants are also expected to have an in-depth understanding of Indian public health system, Policy directives, program implementation of GOI and states specifically in SRH and its linkages with National and International goals.

Experience:

Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in the health sector with demonstrated ability in program/ project management and knowledge of SRH/ MCH, HIV-AIDS.

Skills and Attributes:

(1) Experience in donor reporting; 
(2) Good documentation and communication skills in English;
(3) Experience of handling project site(s) and leading project team(s) independently;
(4) In depth experience in result based MIS monitoring and feeding the outcome in program implementation;
(5) Excellent computer skills especially handling MS office is essential.
