Purpose of the Post
Under direct supervision
of the Fundraising Officer, Donor Acquisition, the incumbent will contribute to
the development and implementation of the India Country Office individual
fundraising strategic plan and will be responsible for supporting activities
undertaken to acquire new pledge donors.
The role involves actively contributing to and co-ordinating the implementation
of these plans and budgets with suppliers, agencies and donors with the purpose
of ensuring the Indian Country office reaches its full potential in pledge
donor acquisition. The role will also be responsible for analysing and
preparing reports on the performance of each activity.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities
1. Assist in day to
day management, optimisation and coordination of acquisition and related
agencies and suppliers, supporting and coordinating their acquisition
activities including the monitoring of their performance through regular interactions
and reports in alignment to the acquisition plan.
To coordinate with different stakeholders within the organisation, such as Finance, S&P as required. Also support internal processes of tracking contracts and payments to keep suppliers informed.

2. Using Private Sector
Fund Raising team resources, evaluate the performance of each fundraising
activity, brief and scrutinize reports and presentations on income and
expenditure and budget utilization including progress vis-à-vis the work plan
and target
3. Assist in identifying new fundraising
opportunities and approaches for donor acquisition and create plans to
implement them. Once approved put the plan into action in a timely and
effective manner.
4. Provide administrative and secretarial
support, such as screening income correspondence, arranging meetings and
drafting related minutes, maintaining filing systems, etc.
5. Perform other duties, as required.
Qualification and
Competencies required to perform the duties of the post:
a) Education
Completion of secondary education. Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office. Vocational education with additional training in a relevant field an asset. University degree in a related field, such as in Marketing or Communications, preferred.

b) Work Experience
Five years general clerical work, which should have provided a good knowledge of clerical practices and procedures. Relevant field experience in supporting sales / marketing and / or fundraising combined with some administrative work experience preferred.

Fluency in English and Hindi required.
