Purpose
of the Post
Under the direct supervision of
the Fundraising Officer, Donor Retention, the incumbent will contribute to the
development and implementation of India Country Office individual fundraising
strategic plan and will be responsible for supporting activities undertaken to
retain and increase the value of UNICEF’s pledge donors.
The role involves co-ordinating the implementation of these plans and budgets with suppliers, agencies and donors. The incumbent will also be responsible for analysing and preparing reports on the performance of each activity.

Major
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist the supervisor and team
in developing and implementing donor cultivation and retention plans across all
channels and media, including approaches for; upgrading, reactivation, saving
all donor communications, and strategic testing of new approaches and
techniques. Assist in the production of analysis and reporting, tracking and
benchmarking of key performance indicators (KPI).
2. Provide support in organizing
and coordinating the day to day briefing and management of contractors,
suppliers and relevant personnel within and / or outside the office to develop
and implement donor retention and cultivation plans.
3. Assist in identifying sections
of donors who have high potential for more incomes (upgrades, middle and major
donors and others as they arise) and create implementation plans. On approval
put the plans into action in a timely and effective manner.
4. Provide administrative and
secretarial support, such as screening income correspondence, arranging
meetings and drafting related minutes, maintaining filing systems, etc.
5. Perform other duties, as
required.
Qualification
and Competencies required to perform the duties of the post:
a) Education
Completion of secondary education. Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office. Vocational education with additional training in a relevant field an asset. University degree in a related field, such as in Marketing or Communications, preferred.

b) Work Experience
Five years general clerical work,
which should have provided a good knowledge of clerical practices and
procedures. Relevant field experience in supporting sales / marketing and / or
fundraising combined with some administrative work experience preferred.
c) Languages
Fluency in English and Hindi required.
