3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Regional Manager,
the Development Officer shall primarily be responsible for
maintaining and developing relationships across the development sector.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Developing strong and productive
relationships with colleagues and trustees, ensuring consistent communication,
engagement and support for fundraising plans and initiatives;
(2) Identifying and fostering new partnerships, both at the state and national levels;
(3) Building and activating strong networks within the voluntary sector, government and the Indian business community, ensuring Jagran Pehel is positively positioned to embrace opportunities;
(4) Strategizing innovative and engaging fundraising events;
(5) Conceptualizing, designing, developing and implementing various campaigns and proposals for different partner organizations;
(6) Developing proposals as per the needs of different clients;
(7) Responding to the needs of existing and new partners on a timely basis through documents and reports, strategic relationship building exercises, etc.;
(8) Supporting the programme team in implementing projects and other programmes;
(9) Representing the organization at various forums;
(10) Any other task, as assigned by management.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicant must possess MBA/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Degree in Rural Management, Rural Marketing, MSW, or equivalent.
Experience:
(1) A minimum of three years of experience in resource mobilization/ fundraising/ rural marketing strategizing social issues intervention, organization building and financial management functions;
(2) Experience/ knowledge of ‘concept selling’ is essential;
(3) Prior exposure to non-profit sector-profit sector;
(4) In-depth understanding of development issues, especially in the areas of Health, Education, Gender Equality and Environment;
(5) Prior exposure to strategizing social interventions, organization building, human resource development and financial management, is desirable.
(6) Proficiency in writing proposals, filing RFPs and EOIs and developing concept notes.
Skills:
(1) Strong presentation skills;
(2) Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Hindi;
(3) Strong interpersonal skills, with customer focus and responsiveness;
(4) Creative and organized with a ‘go-getter’ attitude;
(5) Proficiency in using computers, including standard MS Office applications;
(6) Willingness to travel extensively in India, including visiting rural areas.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation for the position shall be
