SightLife is one of the leading eye banks in the world,
and serves as an international non-governmental organization (INGO) to
eliminate corneal blindness.
Working with
surgeons in over 30 countries, SightLife and
its Global Partners restore sight to more than 20 men, women, and children each
day. This is accomplished through eye banks, which are centers for the recovery
and placement of eye tissue used in cornea transplants. SightLife’s mission
is to eliminate corneal blindness globally through partnerships with eye banks
in developing countries, where 90% of the 10 million people suffering from
curable corneal blindness live.
SightLife constituted a small team of
senior management and distribution professionals in India in 2010 for this
purpose. This is an exciting opportunity to come on board an ambitious social
initiative which has beneficially impacted millions of Indians suffering from
reversible blindness.
SightLife is looking for an accomplished,
product development professional, who wishes to join a dedicated and efficient
team of cross-functional managers, focused on eliminating corneal blindness in
India. Applicants must have relevant experience of successfully launching
software products, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a

professionals.

DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to
the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Product Manager shall engage with business
application users in India, on behalf of SightLife’s IT Team in the US, during the product
development lifecycle for SightLife’s suite of current and future
products focused on eye bank management, surgeon development and patient care.
Key
Responsibilities:
(1) Manage the
product development process from conception through release, analysis, and
iteration;
(2) Work with product, design, analytics, and engineering teams to determine product strategy and prioritize feature projects for version releases;
(3) Own and maintain the backlog and roadmaps for all products in the portfolio;
(4) Own, design, champion, and drive alignment on the to-be vision for the portfolio;
(5) Work with customers, business and IT to drive each product forward in reliability, relevance, quality, and user satisfaction;
(6) Effectively manage technical or user-driven escalations to rapid, satisfactory resolution with IT team;
(7) Finalize and roll-out Service Level Agreements associated with products, and ensure support model is operational and sustainable;
(8) Design and manage customer onboarding plans, including but not limited to project plans, communication, training strategy (working with the technical trainer);
(9) Drive adoption and utilization improvements and learnings;
(10) Analyze data to optimize performance and focus on high-potential product areas;
(11) Create and manage the launch and implementation plan with customers, manage feedback and requirements gathering for fixes and future releases, partner with the Technical Training Manager and support other key players, as part of the onboarding and management cycles;
(12) Partner with peer User Experience (UX) leads and customers, to fully understand their requirements;
(13) Successfully manage stakeholders and include them throughout the process of product management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
(1) Graduate
in computer science, or equivalent;
(2) PG degree in Management is desirable.

Experience:
(1) Minimum
four years’ experience in IT product management or product marketing;
(2) Experience in product management and development lifecycle, software implementation and onboarding, requirements gathering (business requirement documentation and functional specification review on behalf of business) is essential;
(3) Experience of working on web and mobile products is desirable;
(4) UX is essential.

OFFERED:
Gross
compensation for the position shall be attractive. The offer made to the
selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and
