The Information Quality Group (\'IQ Group\'), a division of CFA, is the focal point for enterprise-wide data governance at IFC. The data governance mandate of the IQ Group confers the authority to:
- Define and oversee principles, policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure the sustainable quality of IFC\'s information assets.
- Develop corporate consensus on enterprise-wide corporate data standards (terminology, naming conventions, business rules, formulas for defined calculations and reportable measures) which, once approved, are expected to be used consistently and applied to IT solutions to ensure clarity and consensus on the contextual meaning and usage across the Corporation.
- Resolve data issues through
recommended improvements in business processes, corporate standards,
systems, and/or reporting tools to support business operations, financial
and operational reporting and analytics, effective risk management, and
decision-making at all levels of the organization.
The IQ Group has the mandated responsibility to work on behalf of
corporate-wide best interests by serving as an honest broker supporting the
business needs of all IFC Departments, Senior Management, and the World Bank
Group (WBG). The IQ Group work program is prioritized and executed in alignment
with strategic objectives and initiatives throughout the IFC and across the
World Bank Group.
Note: If the selected candidate is a current Bank Group staff member with a Regular or Open-Ended appointment, s/he will retain his/her Regular or Open-Ended appointment. All others will be offered a 2 year term appointment.

CFA has co-located some aspects of its work program to CTRCO* Chennai who have recruited staff in the CTRLC* team to deliver this work program on a cross support basis. The team providing cross support will interact with IFC colleagues in Washington on a day-to-day basis and ensure that the service level agreement is met.
This position will support the Information Quality Group\'s Partner Quality Improvement Program (PQIP). PQIP is a multi-year business process renewal program designed to clean and maintain high quality Partner information (legal name, address, telephone numbers, etc.) by identifying and validating one unique record for each IFC Partner. At IFC, a \'partner\' is an institution or person directly, indirectly, or potentially involved with IFC.
The successful candidate will be a member of a four person team in Chennai led administratively by CTRLC supervisor. The team will be led functionally by staff in Washington, DC. The candidate is expected to:

- Compile and analyze
information in IFC\'s Partner Database;
- Perform data quality
assurance checks for accuracy and completeness, and verify for internal
consistency;
- Provide timely responses to
client queries, requests, or needs related to partner data;
- Manage and maintain partner
data;
- Apply simple problem-solving
methodologies to diagnose and solve data issues;
- Follow established
procedures for data management to ensure quality outputs are delivered on
time;
- Produce monthly reports on
partner data;
- Provide regular updates to
the Washington, DC project manager.
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor\'s Degree or its
international equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Information
Science, Management Information Science, Statistics or other data
intensive discipline;
- At least three (3) years of
experience in data quality management, analysis or research roles within
financial institutions;
- Demonstrated hands-on
experience in analyzing large databases;
- Experience in research
analytical and technical assistance;
- Excellent qualitative and
analytical background;
- Strong communication skills
(written and oral);
- Competent in office
technology tools with advanced Excel skills;
- Data mining skills
(including data auditing, aggregation, validation and reconciliation), and
knowledge in tools like Informatica Data Quality, Informatica Analyst,
Talend, First Logic, PL/SQL, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Cognos,
and MS Office (Access) are a plus.
