Program Manager - SAHAY - Children International


SAHAY, an affiliate of Children International, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families living in poverty. SAHAY implements health, nutrition, education and employability programs with 27,000 children and youth in West Bengal. Our mission is that every child graduates from our program as a healthy, educated, self–reliant adult with the job skills and drive to break free from poverty while improving their own community.
 
SAHAY is inviting applications for the position of Program Manager based at Kolkata.
 
 
Scope of the Position:The Program Manager is one of the key managerial positions within the organization and is responsible for providing oversight to all the programs implemented by SAHAY reporting to the Director.
 
Responsibilities:
1.     Effective management of program cycle:  Leading the program portfolio which includes but not limited to program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation to ensure quality program delivery. Develop policies, strategies and operational plans for programs.
 
2. Supervision of program activities, program team and liasioning with other departments including travel to project sites.
3.   Timely submission of reports complying with organizational policies, procedures and guidelines. 
4.   Networking with external stakeholders and involvement in fundraising activities for the organization.
 
Academic Qualification and Experience:
  1. Post-Graduate Degree in Management or a relevant development field.
  2. At least 5 years’ experience in working with children and communities, in a leadership role and handling large scale projects both geographically and budget wise.
  3. Budget management.
  4. Experience of leading a team of professionals.
  5. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in English, public speaking and presentation skills. 
Compensation:
 
Salary package offered for this position will be the best as per industry standards.
