Position: Program Officer –Nutrition Research)

We are dedicated to improving the health of disadvantaged populations by promoting equitable health care based on the best evidence of effectiveness and the efficient use of resources.We achieve this by using the network to conduct collaborative, inter-disciplinary research on high-priority health problems. 

The INCLEN is undertaking a multisite nationwide nutrition research focusing on nutrition of children under five and pregnant women and lactating mother.

Job Description/Responsibilities: 
The incumbent is expected to perform the following tasks; 
• Research protocol development and project instrument designing;
• Assist in writing scientific papers and preparing conference presentations;
• Assist management in implementation of project, performance monitoring of staff and periodic MIS; 
• Coordinate with the partners, funder and government officials and other stakeholders; 
• Work closely with other program and administrative team in program management and related areas;
• Develop and participate in training courses for researchers;
• Ability and desire to travel to study sites in-country frequently as desired;
• Perform professional service as assigned by INCLEN from time to time.

Qualification: 
Essential Qualification: Any of the following-
• PhD in nutrition with 1-2 years of research experience.
• Master’s degree/MSc. in nutrition or Public Health with 5-7 years of research experience.

Essential skills:
• Referencing of literature (Bibliographic skills).
• Experience of analysis and preparing scientific reports, papers and presentations.

Desirable skills: 
• Experience of conducting/participating in health research studies.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in training. 
• Proficiency in MS Office tools. 
• Excellent communication fluency in English (verbal and written).
