Secretariat - Civil Society Campaign Against Declining Child Sex Ratio

A Civil Society Campaign Against Declining Child Sex Ratio anchored by the National Foundation for India (NFI) is seeking to appoint a Communication Manager for its national level Secretariat in New Delhi.

The Campaign would work primarily around research, advocacy, networking, media and Communication. The processes call for formulating effective campaign strategies by bringing together technical experts, groups working on women and gender related issues such as violence against women, reproductive health & rights, property rights, MTP and PCPNDT Act. The Campaign seeks to provide a larger platform for many campaign groups, media, youth and parliamentarians to collectively deliberate and act. This position would be located in a national level secretariat which would be responsible for the facilitation and coordination of the Civil Society Campaign. 

Position - Communication Manager

The Secretariat is seeking a fairly experienced and senior level Communication Manager for this Campaign. S/he will provide support to the Campaign team in carrying out activities related to communication, advocacy and networking and be responsible for developing and managing content, ensuring online presence, designing and running social media campaign. S/he would be required to write, edit, design and manage blogs, campaign website, periodic newsletters, brochures, reports and other publications. The candidate is expected to expand the campaign and contribute to the campaigning strategies. S/he will monitor and analyze issues related to patriarchy, gender, women and the declining child sex ratio and develop campaigning materials for external and internal use. S/he will also coordinate, manage and liaise with other relevant networks and campaigns.

Requirement

• Candidate should be a postgraduate with substantial experience of managing campaigns, preferably at the state/national level.
• Expertise and experience in development communication and networking.
• Should have comprehensive understanding of issues related to women and a passion to work on the issue of declining child sex ratio.
• Should be able to work collaboratively in a team. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Openness to extensive traveling is required.
