Project Brief: PIPPSE
The HIV/AIDS Partnership: Impact through Prevention, Private Sector and Evidence- abased Programming (PIPPSE) Project will be managed by a Consortium, led by PHFI as the Principal Recipient and, Futures Group and Population Services International (PSI), as Sub Recipients. The PIPPSE Project aims to "strengthen the institutional and human capacity in prevention programs and private sector engagement through innovative approaches to contribute to achieving the goal of accelerating the reversal Of HIV epidemic at the national and state levels. In order to achieve these goals, there is a need to develop a complete web-based system to track patients and service delivery. The overall scope will be to develop a system where patients can be tracked using a tracking number in terms of clinics they visit, care they receive, drugs received etc. The system will be able to generate reports on usage statistics, patient wise information, facility wise information, care giver wise information etc. The software along with the web-based reporting platform will also be augmented with SMS based operations, and Android based operations.

Job Description:
  • To assess, compile and collate, develop and field test IEC/IPC & BCC kits/tools/ and other demand generation materials for various target groups, typologies (FWS MSM, TG, IDU, Migrants, Truckers and general population)
  • To assess ,compile and collate mid-media kits/tools like posters, exhibition stalls, etc used for various groups/typology and general population
  • To replicate and develop innovative and interactive outreach aids / tools, for group specific effective outreach to core, bridge and general Population
  • To edit and proof read all communication materials before they go out for print and ensure effective dissemination of all materials based on strategic dissemination plans
  • To regularly coordinate with key stakeholders such as DAPCU MSACS, MDACS & DAPCU, DHS, NRHM , Technical Managers & other departments & Team Leaders SHGs and other partners to ensure smooth implementation of the project
  • To develop and roll out the Communication Strategy for District network Model in Thane District in coordination with DAPCU and MSACS
  • To train, develop Master Trainers and roll out training in the field for effective use of various communication aids.
  • To monitor all communication activities in the field To regularly liaison with the M & E team to ensure effective documentation of the project process in Thane District
  • To document and collate all the meeting minutes held under DNM
  • To plan and document all activities under the network model and coordinate with the knowledge management Officer for documenting project processes, best practices , success stories and testimonials as per agreed documentation plan
  • To develop Annual reports, case studies, photo documentation and similar tasks
  • Liaison required inter/ intra-department, with NGOs implementing HIV prevention, care support programs, Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society (MSACS), other HIV and non- HIV partners, District health and government administration. Support and liaison with all stakeholders under the pilot of district network model
  • Any other responsibilities as allocated by Team leader

Qualification, Competencies / Skills required
  • Bachelors or Masters in Communication, MBA – Social communications.
  • Good knowledge of English oral and written required and knowledge of Hindi and Marathi essential
  • Knowledge of public health perspective and HIV/AIDS in particular will be desirable
  • 5 years of experience in developing grass root communication aids, strategy development, documenting projects. Demonstrated high-quality writing, editing, and proof reading skills
  • Experience in Health and/or HIV is an added advantage.
