Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:-
• Timely and Quality reporting to the management, AA International Offices like Quarterly Report, Half Yearly Report, Annual Report, Plans and Budgets, Remittance request etc.
• Preparation and consolidation of Annual Budgets and Financials for being placed before the Governing Board and Senior Management Team as per requirements.
• Provide management response on the queries raised on the annual Plans and Budgets and undertake review of other regions’ Plans And Budgets.
• Ensuring effective financial management e.g. reserves management, fund management, exchange rate monitoring etc. and coordination with other units like Program, Sponsorship and Fund Raising.
• Keeping track on all income received by the organization including sponsorship, local fundraising and donor partnership.
• Review progress of Accounting Software, troubleshooting and suggesting any changes to improve on the internal controls and incorporate comments from the users. Also to keep the software in line with the international guidance on the same.
• Control on Masters in accounting software.

• Assist Director Finance and Administration in formulation and implementation of financial policies and of long term financial strategy in line with Global policies of ActionAid.
• Ensure timely review of allocated regions’ database and overall quality of the data review done by the finance team based on the laid down standards and made field visits.
• Ensuring smooth conduct of Internal and External Audit and assist in submission of management response.
• Participation and preparation for national and international trainings, meetings, visitors, board meetings, etc. and represent Finance Unit.
• Overall review of advances and generation of monthly status report for the Director Finance and Administration and Country Director.
• Coordinate with all units and regions on resolving day to day issues and implantation issues related to strengthening of internal control measures.
• Review on a monthly basis and suggest improvement on Management Accounts and MIS Reports.
• Will be a member of the SMT and also represent Finance in the Senior Management Team(SMT) meetings and other relevant forums/bodies.
• Responsible for any other tasks assigned by the line manager from time to time.

Skills and Competencies
Ideal Candidate should have -:

Post Graduate Degree in Commerce/ICWA/CA (Inter)/MBA Finance with 7 – 9 years post qualification relevant experience.  

S/he will ensure effective Finance Management including finalization of accounts, budgeting, international reporting, taxation and audit.  

S/he will supervise a team of finance professionals at Country Office.  

S/he should possess strong communication skills, result orientation, ability to manage a team, ability to suggest solutions to complex problems

S/he should be willing to travel extensively.
Salary & Benefits
Approx –INR 9.66 Lakhs CTO (Cost to Organisation)– per annum - this includes PF contribution.

In addition, other benefits - Group Medical Insurance with coverage of Staff & Dependents; Personal Accident Insurance of staff and gratuity is payable as per law and norms of the organisation.
