2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
The Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), is a leading non-for-profit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, dedicated to developing diagnostics for poverty­ related infectious diseases.

Headquartered in Geneva and represented in India through a Liaison Office at Delhi, FIND facilitates the development and implementation of diagnostic tools for poverty-ridden diseases. The foundation is presently engaged in the development of new diagnostic techniques for TB, Malaria and Sleeping Sickness (HAT), across the world and specifically for MDR-TB, in India

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Finance Officer (SFO) shall be responsible for the financial management of FIND India Branch Office for all aspects relating to finance and internal controls in compliance with FIND policies, procedures, and mission.  The SFO will report to the Head of TB Programme India & South East Asia, and shall be responsible for liaising on financial matters with FIND headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. In coordination with the Programme Director, he/she will help monitor the financial performance of the projects and related grants, and will provide the technical and administrative teams with all necessary support to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Responsible for the financials (budgeting, forecasting and reporting) of FIND India and its accurate monthly reporting to FIND HQ;
(2) Responsible for ensuring uninterrupted financial functioning during status transition (Branch Office to Section 8 Company);
(3) Maintaining adequate financial records and archives to comply with local GAAP, legal and contractual requirements;
(4) Ensuring the funding coverage of FIND India operational expense;
(5) Responsible for accurate and timely reporting and submission of disbursement requests to donors per the relevant schedule;
(6) Responsible for the financial relationship with donors in collaboration with the programme coordinator and project manager;
(7) Supervising and coordinating the accounting process, currently outsourced;
(8) Providing project managers with financial information for monitoring of projects;
(9) Monitoring the financial performance of the projects and related grants, in coordination with programme coordinator/project managers;
(10) Establishing and ensuring compliance with an internal controls system for the Branch Office to safeguard donor funds;
(11) Devising and monitoring an operational and financial risk matrix for the Branch Office;
(12) Responsible for financial reporting to FIND Headquarter;
(13) Interacting with and ensuring full transparency to internal and external auditors for grant, financial, quality, and organization assessments and audits on need based taking full responsibility for all audits;
(14) Leading the team of finance, HR and IT staff;
(15) Establishing and maintaining mutual and positive relationship with counterparts within institutional and private partner organizations as well as funding agencies in India;
(16) Re-presenting FIND and its interests in India in line with headquarters guidance;
(17) Ensuring that administrative support is provided to International Center of Excellence for Laboratory Training (ICELT) at Bangalore, Chennai Office, field staff and other senior FIND personnel.
4. QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:    
Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must meet the following qualification requirements:
(1) Chartered Accountant/ CPA/ Post Graduate Diploma in Finance from a reputed institute;
(2) At least five years of proven experience of handling financial responsibility for an organization, business unit or department;
(3) Experience of implementing a system of internal controls will be an added advantage;
(4) Sound knowledge of finance system implementation skills will be an added advantage;
(5) General management skills with field/program experience;
(6) Recruitment, performance and payroll management skills;
(7) Experience of working with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations;
(8) Strong IT skills (advanced Excel, Access database and VBA).

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
FIND India is a progressive paymaster and endeavors to position itself at par with leading international non-profits working in the area of public health in India.
The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
6. NATURE OF APPOINTMENT:
The selected candidate shall be initially offered a one year consultancy contract, renewable annually, based on satisfactory performance.
