Project Brief: PIPPSE
The
HIV/AIDS Partnership: Impact through Prevention, Private Sector and Evidence-
abased Programming (PIPPSE) Project will be managed by
a Consortium, led by PHFI as the Principal Recipient and, Futures Group and
Population Services International (PSI), as Sub Recipients. The PIPPSE Project
aims to "strengthen the institutional and human capacity in prevention
programs and private sector engagement through innovative approaches to
contribute to achieving the goal of accelerating the reversal Of HIV epidemic
at the national and state levels. In order to achieve these goals, there is a
need to develop a complete web-based system to track patients and service
delivery. The overall scope will be to develop a system where patients can be
tracked using a tracking number in terms of clinics they visit, care they
receive, drugs received etc. The system will be able to generate reports on
usage statistics, patient wise information, facility wise information, care
giver wise information etc. The software along with the web-based reporting
platform will also be augmented with SMS based operations, and Android based
operations.
Job Description:
- Conduct advocacy meetings with Municipal Commissioner, MOH & other authorities for seeking support in mainstreaming in Municipal Corporation’s health and social welfare program & reporting for increased engagement of the private sector (Health and industries)
- Facilitate coordinated delivery of all services at the public health facility following assessment of client load by identifying & deploying human resources for facilitation in consultation with TIs
- Establish DICs that are co-located at the public health facility, in addition to individual TI DICs through advocacy with hospital & district authorities for space allocation
- Assist TI, TSU PO and Prevention manager in identifying Urban Health posts which can be accessed for referral and linkages of core and bridge population
- Facilitate organization of joint health camps of TIs with Municipal Corporation and Health Department through advocacy
- Establish linkages between TI - PM and Municipal Corporation-Medical Officers for leveraging of Municipal Corporation health camps with multi- speciality services
- Ensure optimum use of communication aid in the field and provide feedback on the requirements for the success of the DNM
- In coordination with the Prevention Manager, conduct stakeholder & resource analysis in the corporation area
- Assist Team Leader – Maharashtra in execution of official directive from Municipal Corporation and different stakeholders in the corporation area
- Support Team Leader – Maharashtra in facilitating consultation between Municipal Corporation and other line departments in the corporation area
- Evolve mechanisms with TI division SACS to establish better linkages between Link Workers Program and existing TI programs in the state.
- Organise sensitization meetings to introduce DNM and workshops at the corporation level for various mainstreaming
- Mobilise and/ or strengthen local resources for integration of HIV in the corporation health program and coordinate the mobile van route plan of the area with concerned NGO
- Conduct monthly Corporation level joint meetings for reporting and building synergy for referral and linkages with other programs like TB, HBV etc
- Closely monitor the conversion rate and loss to linkages of the core, bridge and general population in the area through close coordination with TIs, ICTCs, ART centers, UHC, PLHIV network, PPTCT NGO etc.
- Completely manage the data and track for linkage loss and ensure linkages
- Support the rollout of different innovation in the corporation area like bio-metrics, assessments, ELM, MSDS roll out etc
- Conduct peer educators consultations and meetings on a periodic basis to understand the gaps in referral and linkage loss and support in access to services
- To document and filling all corporation level meetings, compiling reports of program and events, coordinating visitor exposure etc
- Reporting an all indicators at the corporation level both at TI level and DNM in consultation
- Any other responsibilities as allocated by Team leader
Qualification,
Competencies / Skills required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Humanities or relevant field.
- With 3-4 years of experience in networking, coordination with Government agencies and private sector. Skills in communication, meeting senior government official, able to articulate in English and Marathi and good report writing skills are essential. Experience of working with corporations and Experience in Health and/or HIV is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of public health perspective and HIV/AIDS in particular will be desirable
- Experience in Health and/or HIV is an added advantage.
