Project Brief:
Swasthya Slate, a
mobile device that aims to provide affordable healthcare to rural India.
Swasthya Slate is a Bluetooth-enabled kit that performs 33 basic health checks
– body temperature, blood pressure etc. Operated by Frontline Health Workers,
these tests are provided to patients at a cost of just Rs. 85.
Through a number of mobile application that are integrated in the system, it is able to record a patient’s medical history, basic medical indicators and even offer on-the-spot diagnosis on the basis of the information gathered. Unlike other mobile diagnostic units, the Swasthya Slate’s USP lies in the telemedicine, Electronic Medical Reports and innovative mobile applications for education and support of the frontline health workers.

Job Description / Responsibilities:
- The Researcher will be responsible for the following activities:
- The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of Lead Designer and also seek inputs from the PI of the project.
- Tasks as may be required to perform the job. To start with broad tasks & then highlight the activity to be performed under each of the tasks (the activities should be measurable and realistic).
- Design Photoshop layouts for android apps
- Layouts for web development and presentations
- Creating professional designs and layouts for promotional materials including direct mailings, hand-outs, advertisements, posters, signs, logos, and other visual layouts.
- Design website templates using Photoshop. Slicing them for use in website design process
- He/ She is expected to partner with all the internal teams, and ensure that work is done amongst teams with collaboration, efficiency and is time bound.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Coordinates production activities with printers, service agencies, advertisers, and vendors and review quality of final product before release.
Qualifications / Experience and skills required
- Graduate with certificate / diploma course in Graphic design
- BFA graduate is preferred
- Should be proficient in using Adobe Design suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator), Working knowledge of Corel Draw
- Should be proficient with MS Office applications (Power point, excel, word)
- Should have knowledge of some 3D programs, Adobe creative cloud
- Effective Communication skills
- Good Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in cross cultural teams
- Ability to plan, conceptualize and organize
- Ability to innovate/ “think tank” for the organization
- Ability to make logical decisions and ensure transparency
