Project Brief: PIPPSE
The
HIV/AIDS Partnership: Impact through Prevention, Private Sector and Evidence-
abased Programming (PIPPSE) Project will be managed by a Consortium, led by
PHFI as the Principal Recipient and, Futures Group and Population Services
International (PSI), as Sub Recipients. The PIPPSE Project aims to
"strengthen the institutional and human capacity in prevention programs
and private sector engagement through innovative approaches to contribute to
achieving the goal of accelerating the reversal Of HIV epidemic at the national
and state levels. In order to achieve these goals, there is a need to develop a
complete web-based system to track patients and service delivery. The overall
scope will be to develop a system where patients can be tracked using a
tracking number in terms of clinics they visit, care they receive, drugs
received etc. The system will be able to generate reports on usage statistics,
patient wise information, facility wise information, care giver wise
information etc. The software along with the web-based reporting platform will
also be augmented with SMS based operations, and Android based operations.
Job Description:
- Support Team Leader – Maharashtra in advocacy meetings and follow-up with DAPCU, Rural and Tribal government and private stakeholders, Medical superintendents of PHCs, rural ICTC, LAC & other authorities for seeking support in mainstreaming in rural and tribal area of Thane including working with District collector and Chief Executive Officers ZillaParishad. Reporting for increased engagement of the private sector (Health and industries) DHS, DHO, District Administration (District Collector and CEO) & other authorities for seeking support in mainstreaming HIV in other health and social welfare programs of the district
- Facilitate coordinated delivery of all services at the public health facility with bridge and general population in rural and tribal area
- Establish DICs that are co-located at the public health facility through advocacy with hospitals, & district authorities for space allocation and link HRGs and Bridge population in rural and tribal area
- Facilitate organization of joint health camps of TI & LWS NGO with Primary Health Centers and Rural Hospital and follow-up on linkages of all ANCs for HIV testing at the rural and tribal health facility.
- Ensure optimum use of communication aid in the field and provide feedback on the requirements in the field for the success of the DNM and update DAPCU
- The above task to be done closely in coordination with DAPCU DPO & DS
- Work closely with DAPCU and support DAPCU in mainstreaming HIV with line departments, provide regular feedbacks and follow-up
- Provide technical assistance to Link Worker Scheme NGO and update MSACS on the progress
- In coordination with the DAPCU and Team Leader Maharashtra, conduct stakeholder & resource analysis for example route-map of mobile vans, leverage NHM or tribal department mobile vans, drugs etc.
- Support Team Leader – Maharashtra in following up on official directive from Government of Maharashtra to different stakeholders
- Support Team Leader – Maharashtra in facilitating consultation between DAC, MSACS, MDACS, DHS NRHM, DLSA, Police Commissioner, District Administration and Municipal Corporation
- Support Team Leader – Maharashtra in introducing DNM and TOR of all partners through sensitization meetings/ workshops and trainings
- Mobilise and/ or strengthen local resources for integration of HIV in the corporation health program
- Conduct monthly corporation &Taluka level joint meetings for reporting and building synergy for referral and linkages with other programs like RCH, TB, HVB etc
- Closely monitor the conversion rate and loss to linkages of the core, bridge and general population in Urban, Rural and Tribal area through close coordination with TIs, ICTCs, ART centers, UHC etc.
- Completely manage the data and track for linkage loss and ensure linkages. Coordinated with all Health coordinators of the Municipal corporations and compile data and facilitate where required
- Coordinate with all HIV partners and non-HIV partners in the district and ensure engagement in the district level forums
- Support DAPCU in organising DAPCC meetings
- Reporting all indicators at the District level both at TI level and DNM
- Any other responsibilities as allocated by Team leader
Qualification,
Competencies / Skills required:
- Bachelors or Masters in Social Science, Humanities, MBA, MBBS or equivalent
- With 5-8 years of experience in networking, coordination with Government agencies and private sector. Skills in communication, meeting senior government official. Able to articulate in English and Marathi and good report writing skills are essential. Experience in Health and/or HIV is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of public health perspective and HIV/AIDS in particular will be desirable
