2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
Ipas Development Foundation (IDF) is a Section 25 non-profit company, founded
in 1973, is a global nongovernmental organization dedicated to ending
preventable deaths and disabilities from unsafe abortion. Through local,
national and global partnerships, Ipas works to ensure that women can obtain
safe, respectful and comprehensive abortion care, including counseling and
contraception to prevent future unintended pregnancies.
Ipas has been working in India for over a decade
towards strengthening training systems, service delivery of comprehensive
abortion care services and advocacy initiatives to increase women's access to
safe abortions, with the aim of making a positive impact on the health of
Indian women. Ipas engages closely with the government at
the national and state level to provide technical assistance to strengthen the
comprehensive abortion care policy and program interventions. Ipas program’s geographic coverage
currently includes 11 states - Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh,
Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Assam, West Bengal and Meghalaya
- where they work with the public health system to ensure improved access to
abortion and contraception services for women.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The EPs shall report to and assist the concerned Assistant Manager Program, in facilitatingComprehensive Abortion Care (CAC)/ Intra-Uterine Contraceptive Device (IUCD) trainings and service delivery provision by trained providers, as well as, prepare reports on the status of service delivery.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
(1) Facilitating the conduct of CAC/ IUCD trainings, at designated training
centers in the state;
(2) Following-up with district health officials for the nomination of doctors for CAC/ IUCD trainings and ensuring the availability of training materials;
(3) Undertaking regular visits to service delivery sites to follow-up with each CAC/ IUCD trained provider, ensuring service delivery, identifying issues affecting service delivery and helping design and implement solutions to facilitate service delivery;
(4) Following-up with each CAC/ IUCD trained provider to ensure 100% service delivery, identifying issues affecting service delivery and helping design and implement solutions to facilitate service delivery;
(5) Conducting orientation of Community Intermediaries at service delivery sites to inform them about CAC/ IUCD services;
(6) Documenting activities and preparing reports on program status, as necessary.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a reputed Institution/ University.
Experience:
(1) One to three years of public health experience, preferably with exposure to reproductive health and/or health sector projects and prior experience of working with community and health providers at the village level;
(2) Demonstrated experience of working in field based assignments, involving extensive travel to rural areas and working with health intermediaries.

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Fluency in local language;
(2) Working knowledge of English and Hindi;
(3) Confident and self-driven;
(4) Willing to travel 15 – 18 days in a month within the state;
