Advocacy Officers - HelpAge India (Apply by: 15 June 2014)

Based at: Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kochi

Reporting to: State Heads

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing HelpAge India’s Advocacy programme at state level
• Networking with Senior Citizen Associations and other stake holders on advocacy issues at state and district levels
• Submitting monthly MIS reports, follow up and compilation
• Assisting State Head on all relevant advocacy issues

Qualifications:

• MSW / PG in Social Sciences, with minimum 1 year of experience
• Should have excellent communication skills both written as well as oral
• Should have good presentation and PR skills with hands on experience of directly doing advocacy project at the ground level
• Should have a creative mind
• Should be computer savvy
• Should be sensitive to the cause of the organisation
• Demonstrate an ability to take initiative

This is a contractual appointment, initially for one year, but extendable based on performance.
