The purpose of the Head of Knowledge Management function is to institutionalize knowledge and organizational learning development & management, enhance impact monitoring, program quality control and evaluation, improve internal processes and results delivery, and embed accountability throughout programs.
The Head of Knowledge Management provides leadership to ChildFund India’s Knowledge Management unit and is responsible for monitoring and evaluation, research, documentation, database management and facilitating learning platforms in ChildFund India’s country programs.

S\he through the Knowledge Management Unit, leads the design and execution of the learning framework within the Country Strategic Plan and facilitates the establishment of innovative systems and processes to track and document changes facilitated by ChildFund across programs and projects.

S\he is instrumental in facilitating the design and execution of the Management Information System (MIS) and to provide relevant information and analysis across organizational levels to enhance decision.

S\ he will manage a team of professionals in the field of M&E, research, training and learning and will actively collaborate with M&E and program communication teams based in international, regional, and national offices to amplify program quality, impact and communication. This function also has a role to support the Asia Regional Office in anchoring Regional pilots and supporting regional initiatives.

The Head of Knowledge Management is a member of the Program Management Team that plays a leadership role in key decision making within ChildFund India Programs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership:
• Provide leadership to the ChildFund India Knowledge Management Unit. This includes working closely with the International and India Teams to develop a set of standards, indicators, M&E frameworks, core guidance and effective practices; and implementing those across ChildFund India Programs.
• Ensure accountability through effective monitoring of country program by (a) Institutionalising global and country level core M&E processes; (b) developing and managing M & E database and management dashboards;
(c) compiling quarterly, annual and other periodic country reports; (d) managing, tracking and reporting of Annual Operating Plan; (e) sharing updates at different levels and developing feedback loops, (f) conducting data audits for confirming quality of reported information.
• Manage a team to execute on an M&E improvement agenda. This includes supervision of staff, collaboration with colleagues across borders, and developing work plans and monitoring their execution and outcomes. It also includes training staff and partners to develop instrumentation and design periodic (baseline, midline and end line) surveys and provide on-going support to field programs as needed.
• Plan and manage internal/external evaluations, reviews and impact assessments of the program.
• Manage and monitors budget allocation and expenditures related to the knowledge and learning/M&E unit.
