Title: HR Officer - Area

Reporting Relationship: CEO on Society matters with dotted line to HRM HR matters    
Summary
As a member of the Human Resource & Support Team, the position will be responsible for looking after front end Human Resources support to Area operations in building capacities and also play a supporting role to the CEO on Society board general Administration. 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
General HR and Talent management
·         Coordinate HR processes for Area / Field level staff and act as liaison between the field teams and the central HR department
·         Participate in areas level recruitment process representing the HR department on interviews and selection process
·         HR representative and single point of contact for all field level staff on HR activities including employee relations, Learning and Development
·         In consultation with the HR Manager, coordinate administrative aspects of HR such as transfer of employees and consultants,  facilitate staff departure and termination processes at the field level
·         Proactively identifies gaps in area HR, suggest workable solutions and involve the appropriate resources needed to ensure a fair, positive and timely response.

Trainings
·         Facilitate effective induction for area staff
·         Identify learning needs for area staff and assist the HR department in training need analysis for developing learning modules  
·         Facilitate and co-ordinate learning and development plans based on the organizational and individual's needs
·         Facilitate implementation and feedback on training initiatives and channel them to the HRM to address any gaps / areas of improvement

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
·         Post Graduate degree in HR such as MBA or MSW or PGDM etc.
·         3 years of experience in Human Resources Function such as recruitments / training / general management
·         Experience of working within a not for profit organization preferred
·         Experience of working with the Board will be an added advantage.

·         Strong communication skills in English & Hindi (oral & written)
·         Ability to build relationships with line/program managers
·         Knowledge of organizational functions & approaches
·         Computer skills
·         Strong interpersonal skills
·         Ability to work under pressure and multitask
·         Willingness to travel extensively ( 70% )
·         Exhibit high levels of integrity and confidentiality
