It is known for innovative and multi-sectoral initiatives in the SRH, HIV and associated fields. SAATHII is registered as a tax-exempt charitable trust with offices in Chennai (Head Office), Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Imphal, Nagpur, Mumbai and Ranchi.

Job Description: 

SAATHII
is looking for a suitable individual for Administration and Finance Officer, Bhubaneswar Office position. 

The Administration and Finance Officer, Bhubaneswar Office, will be primarily responsible for the administrative and financial management of all the projects based at SAATHII Bhubaneswar Office. Additionally, s/he will provide technical support and guidance to the partner organizations of SAATHII in Odisha, in the areas of financial management. S/he will work closely with the finance and programmes teams of SAATHII.

Key responsibilities of the Administration and Finance Officer, Bhubaneswar Office:

1. The Administration and Finance Officer, Bhubaneswar Office will be responsible for cash management, processing and clearing all payments and to maintain the books of accounts (including preparation of necessary vouchers and other documents) on a day-to-day basis
2. S/he will record all transactions in computerized accounting system in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and principles, ensure proper documentation of all transactions and maintain all necessary financial, administrative and human resource related files and registers.
3. S/he will ensure timely payment to vendors, suppliers, partner organisations in connection with various programme related activities.
4. S/he will be responsible for the regular bank balance reconciliation and other reconciliations / advance settlements with all vendors, suppliers, partner organizations, staff members and donor organizations
5. S/he will have to ensure timely deduction of various taxes and statutory liabilities and timely deposit of the same with the relevant authorities.
6. S/he will have to ensure the systematic maintenance and storage of financial, administrative and human resource related records and data.
7. S/he will work closely with other colleagues for preparing various budgets, work plans, financial reports and forecasts (for both SAATHII and its partner organizations) for internal use of SAATHII, as well as for submitting to donor and other external agencies.
8. S/he will be responsible for preparing necessary grant agreements, contracts, MoUs and other relevant documents with the donor agencies, partner organizations and other parties. S/he will maintain systems and will be responsible for the timely renewals, amendments and closure of various grants and contracts in accordance with contractual obligations of the projects and SAATHII rules and regulations.
9. S/he will be responsible for the day-to-day office administration, filing, staff attendance, maintaining different registers, correspondence, office stocks, dealing with suppliers, vendors and service providers, travel arrangements and bookings for staff members
10. S/he will be responsible for bank related work, procurement of assets and equipments and purchasing office stationery and other utility items.
11. S/he will provide necessary logistics and financial support during in-house and outside trainings, meetings and other events
12. S/he will have to undertake other responsibilities not outlined above which are commensurate with a role of this nature and which have been mutually discussed.

Skills and Qualifications Required: 

1. At least three years of experience in financial management, accounting and administrative work in the social development sector.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of computerized accounting systems and usage of ERP version of Tally software.
3. Graduation or higher degree from a recognized university in Commerce or financial management.
4. Sound skills in computer usage - including use of Microsoft Office softwares and the Internet.
5. Good command over English, particularly in writing technical reports and correspondence.
6. Fluency in spoken English, Odiya and Hindi languages.
7. Basic knowledge of current health and development sector issues, particularly HIV/AIDS, gender, sexuality, human rights and reproductive health issues.
8. Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment, with demonstrated leadership, communication, networking and presentation capabilities.
9. Willingness to travel within Odisha and to other states (where SAATHII projects are running) as and when required

Monthly pay amount: Salary will be commensurate with skills and qualifications.
