Purpose of the Position
Under the
general supervision of the HR Manager - Learning, the incumbent will be
responsible to provide technical support for the planning, design,
implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of organizational learning
programmes in business and systems performance support, with a specific focus
on ensuring sustained VISION end-user performance. Moreover, the incumbent
provides functional and technical guidance and on-going support to Operations
leads in their respective Divisions in the areas of learning and development.
Key Expected Results
1. In
collaboration with business owners, support the design, development and delivery
of functional and operational business and systems training curricula for new
staff or staff who undertake new functions; advise management on cost-effective
delivery mechanisms which enable staff to access various appropriate training
on an as-needed and/or real time basis; support the design and development of
functional and operational training packages; monitor training needs and
completion across the Organization.
2. Support the revision, updating and delivery of refresher and 'advanced' VISION training in collaboration with the respective business owners and other stakeholders; Integrate specific activities utilizing the new systems into existing or other corporate/UN learning and training programmes as appropriate.
3. Responsible for administering the various tools in use including, but not limited to: iLearn (uPerform) and Agora (LMS), including template creation and maintenance, project creation and maintenance, user admin and publishing. Provide quality control for tools and VISION performance support documents. Coach project administrators and authors in use of various support materials.
4. In collaboration with various business owners, ensure the continued maintenance and update of the VISION training and continued coherence between available data, data sheets and updated training material.
5. Support HQ, country and regional offices in the organization and delivery of operational, functional and organizational performance improvement training.
6. Identifies, recruits/procures and supervises technical resources and consultants as necessary for the above activities.
7. Facilitates/delivers trainings as appropriate; may be called upon to train others to deliver trainings.
8. Provides expertise, support and/or guidance to other projects as needed and based upon needs and priorities of the section/organization.

Qualifications of Successful Candidate
- An advanced
university degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational
Development, or a directly-related technical field(s) is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in Learning (design and delivery), organizational development and project management is required.
- Prior hands-on experience with uPerform and other related applications is considered an asset.
- Prior hands-on experience with technology-based systems for training (computer-based, digital learning, and interactive media) is considered highly desirable.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required. Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian) is considered an asset.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in Learning (design and delivery), organizational development and project management is required.
