CBCI Coalition for AIDS and Related Diseases (CBCI CARD)
is seeking qualified persons to work as the District Coordinator in the districts of Uttar Pradesh. The position is contractual and carries an attractive salary package, commensurate with experience.

CBCI CARD as Sub Recipient to International Union against TB and Lung Disease seeks to facilitate the involvement of NGOs in Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) across 29 districts in 4 states of India.

Job Title: District Coordinator

Location:1) Sitapur, Shahjahanpur & Gonda (UP)

Reports To: Assistant Program Manager – CBCI CARD Project Axshya

Primary Functions:


The District Coordinator will work to ensure sensitization of the NGOs in the district towards the NGO/PP schemes set by The UNION.

Major Responsibilities 

• Work to ensure sensitization of the NGOs in the district towards the NGO/PP schemes set by RNTCP.
• Provide assistance in ACSM(Advocacy communication & Social mobilization) to NGOs willing to participate in RNTCP
• Liaison between District TB Officer and the NGO in signing up for these schemes based on the capacity of the NGO
• Facilitate sensitization of schemes with the NGO in RNTCP.
• Ensure that all other data, information and reports demanded from time to time are collected, compiled and delivered promptly to CBCI CARD HQ as per the given deadlines.
• Periodically review the performance of each District and provide regular feedback and support to increase program efficiency.
• Coordinate and collaborate in the districts for effective programme reporting.
• Maintenance of accounts of the CBCI CARD TB project Axshaya as per guidelines and oversee the financial accounting for the CBCI CARD Project Axshya in the District, compile the monthly financial report , claims , and send it to the CBCI CARD HQ.
• Organize the records of the accounts in a systematic way to facilitate easy retrieval.
• Arrange accounts for audit and extend required help in the audit of accounts as and when required by the auditors / CBCI CARD Finance.
• Maintain the files on communications
• Conduct supportive supervisory visits.
• Other tasks assigned by the APM (Assistant Program manager) / PM (Program manager) or CBCI CARD HQ.

Expected Skill Sets:

• Ability to work in a multicultural environment with excellent liaison and facilitation
Skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners
• Good documentation skills and an ability to achieve results in a time-bound manner
• Employee must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in
English as well as the local language of the respective state.
• Proactive in problem solving and comfortable working with / in a team.
• Ability to work independently, be self motivated and have good judgment skills
• Ability to impart technical knowledge through formal and informal training.
• Competency in computer operations(MS Office) and Office Automation

Educational Qualifications and professional experience: 

• MSW/ Postgraduate/Graduate with 2 years experience of working in the field of Health
• Health sector background experience of working at grass root level

Compensation: Will be competitive and commensurate with professional experience.

Period of contract: 1 year renewable contract based on performance appraisal with a probation period of 6 months.

This position will involve extensive travel, at least 15 days within the district.
