Position: Assistant Manager-Regular/Monthly Giving

Department:  Advocacy and External Relations Unit

Grade: F

Reports to: Manager- Fundraising

Location: CIHQ, New Delhi.

Job Summary 

This is a key position in CARE India’s Fundraising operations and involves complete management of face to face and Telemarketing Regular/Monthly Giving (Direct Debit) acquisition and retention programs in order to ensure targets and constant improvement of set KPIs.

Key Responsibilities


• Overall management of Regular/Monthly Giving Acquisition Program and overlook the performance of In-house & Agencies, to make sure that both programs strategy is in line with each other with results.

• Constantly improve the ‘quality’ of the regular/monthly giving program in all levels. Monitor the effectiveness of existing acquisition channels systematically to allow for timely intervention by revising them or replacing them with new tools and mechanisms, after careful monitoring, evaluation and testing with set smart objectives and KPIs.

• To ensure that set objectives for regular/monthly giving are met by In-house teams and Out-sourced (if applicable) teams for both F2F and Telemarketing.

• Analysis of daily/weekly/monthly results, monitoring of KPIs (KeyPerformance Indicators) and fine-tuning interventions to F2F and Telemarketing operations with a view to improve the quality of the regular/monthly giving program

• In consultation with Manager- Fundraising, setting daily and monthly targets for committed giving teams.

• Coordination of donor acquisition process for regular/monthly giving between the field and the office in order to ensure the defined process from ‘Sign up’ to ‘Approval of Mandate’ and ‘Debits ‘works systematically and sign up forms fulfilled in the shortest time possible.

• Work closely with Manager-Fundraising on constant analysis and improvement of the donor communications cycle for regular/monthly giving donors.
• Make sure that regular training cycle is working for Regular/Monthly Giving Acquisition Teams


• Constant follow up & analysis of monthly mandate approval, fulfillment and attrition rates.

• Constant follow up & analysis of monthly debit results of regular/monthly giving donors, to make sure that cash follow is matching with the set annual income targets.

• Constant analysis and improvement of the donor communications cycle for regular/monthly giving donors.

• Build and manage a dedicated team for retention and ensure the ‘Upgrade Program’ for Regular/Monthly Giving Donors is running systematically and the set KPIs are met.

• Manage the Conversion Program, make sure that all new one-off donors are systematically contacted through ‘Conversion Program’


Approximately 30% travel will be required; most of it within the country. However ability to travel within country and abroad as required.

Qualification & Experience

Preferably MBA in marketing with 5-6 years of experience, however for candidates with exceptional marketing skills and track record, it would not be a hindrance.

3 to 5 years fundraising experience in coordination/managerial level experience in committed giving/direct debit programs
