Job Description / Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall leadership for Centre for Mental Health activities
  • Provide overall leadership to all work packages under EMERALD and for administrative core of SHARE
  • Monitoring and tracking progress of EMERALD research activities (work packages) and coordinating submission of progress reports
  • Organize and coordinate capacity-building dissemination related activities under Centre for Mental Health generally and EMERALD and SHARE projects specifically
  • To supervise the junior staff working in EMRALD and SHARE project
  • Liaise with partner institutions and collaborators in EMERALD and SHARE project.

Qualifications / Experience and skills required
  • PhD/MD in a discipline relevant to public health, preferably mental health
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in public health research, preferably with a focus on mental health. Candidates with prior experience in mental health systems research would be preferred
  • Should have experience in writing and implementing research grants
  • Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to mobilize and coordinate with various stakeholders in the field of mental health
  • Ability to take initiative and take leadership roles in projects
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
