Job Title: Communication Manager

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan

Reporting to: Project Director- Merrygold Health Network (MGHN, Social Franchising Project)

Remuneration: Salary will commensurate with experience of the candidate and past salary drawn.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop an implementation plan based on a comprehensive communication strategy.
Conceptualise, design and prepare communication/BCC/IEC/advocacy material and tool kits for health clinics.
• Strengthen advocacy platforms at district and state levels among stakeholders, gatekeepers, policy makers & health care professionals.
• Define and implement locally appropriate BCC/IEC efforts.
• Identify and procure locally appropriate display & merchandising material to support generic condom promotion & demand generation efforts in the state
• Take periodic feedback on communication material/activities and incorporate the recommendations in future projects
• Monitor communication activities at district and taluka levels
• Develop internal newsletters & etc.
• Any other work as per the need of the program
• Capacity to train internal and external team on communication issues.

Provide strategic and technical inputs in the following areas – 

• Finalizing the Terms of Reference (TOR) for contracting / re-contracting of media and monitoring agencies.
• Evaluation of the technical and financial proposals.
• Monitoring the impact evaluation of IEC /BCC programs
• Monitor the contract management including timely completion of the assignment, release of payment, issuing contract amendments etc.
• Commission collaborative research to identify areas and populations requiring specific IEC interventions
• Writing of proposals on communication initiatives or communication component of the proposals for business development.

Candidate Profile: 

• Candidate should be a post graduate in social sciences, communication, public relations, journalism Masters in Mass Communication or Graduation in Business Administration or Marketing or related subject with 7 years of relevant experience in communications, advocacy, journalism, public relations and development work
• Prior experience in the field of communications preferably in HIV/AIDS and related fields.
• Commitment and capability to meet deadlines.
• Should have good understanding of local culture & good knowledge of local media & media habits.
• Language proficiency in English & Hindi

Experience of working with national/international/marketing agencies giving exposure to strategic communication media and advertising agencies with minimum of 3 -5 years experience.
