About the role

Reporting to the India Director and with functional relationship with India team and International communications directorate, the objective of this position is to support the TCG India office to deliver its communication plan to enhance organizational visibility, identity and branding leading to enhanced recognition and funding opportunities in India and abroad. The position will particularly focus on supporting the Netherlands Postcode Lottery funded Bijli – Clean Energy for All program in India by delivering communication objective and organizing various local and national events in India. This is a full time role, initially on a fixed term of 1 year.

The role will include but not limited to:
• Coordinate national and regional events
• Provide support for events in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, UK and USA
• Coordinating with programs team to provide timely media updates
• Support resource mobilization from existing and potential corporate partners in the Indian business fraternity
• Support day-to-day media outreach
• Maintain media database and press lists
• Support media activities around events, fundraising, corporate partnerships and report launches
• Help handle responses to media requests
• Media monitoring and evaluation
• Generate media coverage reports
• Research opportunities for media engagement in priority media/regions
• Any other duties

About you

Essential:

• A successful track record in corporate communications, ideally in the Indian corporate or International Development sector
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including fluency in English
• The ability to work effectively with very senior figures in the Government and corporate sectors
• Events management experience 
• Strong computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office/ Adobe Creative Suite etc.)
• A dedicated team worker, also able to work on own initiative
• Committed to our aims and values

Desirable:

• A relevant professional qualification.
• Other language skills, multiple Indian languages, Dutch and/or Mandarin.
• Web and social media experience
• Ability to organize and manage photo library and imagery for media release

Location

New Delhi, India with frequent travels to project locations

Terms and conditions

This is a contractual position with all inclusive lumpsum salary of upto INR 80,000 per month
