A. POSITION PURPOSE: 


PSI is implementing a NACO supported Condom Social Marketing Project in 33 districts of Maharashtra. To implement this project, PSI is looking for a Manager – Field Operations (NACO CSM) and these positions are subject to Donor funding.

B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop Location plans in accordance with overall State project strategy
2. Lead the recruitment, orientation and support of staff to undertake all aspects of the program deliverables in NACO CSM program.
3. Oversee, Supervise and support direct reports to meet project deliverables of sales.
4. Responsible for overseeing the Location sales operations to include managing the super stockiest/stockiest in the state.
5. Identify and define technical requirements of team members and collaborate with state and National Technical teams to fulfill those.
6. Oversee collection and reporting of data required under the Assigned locations and accommodate project-wide monitoring activities
7. Review and analyze Location level data regularly to improve local management and decision-making.
8. Accountable for the prudent management of all administrative and financial activities in accordance with program needs and PSI policies and procedures
9. Provide regular, concise reporting on program activities
10. Responsible for liaison and coordination with stakeholders like TSG, WBSACS, state govt. agencies, and TI & THP partners etc.
11. Accomplish activities consistent with the work plan, goals and objectives of the program
12. Provide training, mentoring and support to field sales staff.
13. Analyze the MIS system reports and provide feedback and revised implementation plan as per identified gaps in line to achieve project deliverables.
14. Support in micro planning to field managers.
15. Facilitate capacity building activities of staff as per need assessment by HR.
16. Submission the reports from the field within the time.
17. Conduct regular staff program reviews including budget utilization and suggest mid- course corrections, if any.
18. Increase the penetration and sale of Other PSI products in Maharashtra to increase the Program Income base.
19. Work closely with State Program Manager and support to achieve program deliverables of the state.


C. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Post-Graduate degree, preferably MBA.
2. Seven (7) & above years of experience in hard core sales operation at state level, preferably from FMCG.

1. Desire to contribute to improved public health in India and an understanding of public health issues in India.
2. Strong leadership and managerial skills
3. Demonstrated understanding of the behavior change communication, research and technical medical services.
4. Strong report writing & presentation skills
5. Planning & Organizational Skills
6. A team player with strong training & mentoring skills
7. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Knowledge of regional languages would be an advantage.
8. Good computer skills.
9. Highest integrity, maturity and professionalism
10. Willingness to travel extensively in Location 70-80% of time
