Position: Assistant Director – Resource Mobilisation & Communication

Location: Mumbai (HQ)

Reporting to: Secretary General

Qualification:
 

Post-graduate in Social Science preferably with a Diploma in Marketing/Mass media/Communication.

Experience:

3-5 years of working in the social development sector, preferably in the area of Resource mobilization/Communication. Experience related to SRH will be an added advantage.

Essential skills:

Good Communication skills, good report writing skills, computer operation skills, presentation skills. Experience and expertise in New Media techniques (SMS, internet, email based etc)

1. Purpose :

• To develop and evaluate visionary, innovative and realistic programs, within the agreed strategic priorities and long term planning of FPAIndia so as to develop a strong and active supporter base which will in turn generate the financial resources required by the organization.
• To develop, implement, maintain and evaluate realistic fundraising programs, within the agreed strategic priorities and long term planning of India.
• To ensure regular income & funding from key donors/foundations & Trusts as per the Annual Plan Budget.
• To develop and maintain effective and fruitful long term relationships with Donors, Foundations, Trusts, CSR divisions.
• To identifying and researching potential Key Donors (Individuals/ Institutions Agencies).
• To plan and execute image building strategies.

2. Roles and Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for the leadership and coordination of all FPA India fundraising programs.

• To Initiate; develop and manage new and creative fundraising programs to attract new donors and upgrade current donors.


• To develop and implement a strategic development and fundraising plan for fundraising; including short and long term measurable goals, within the framework of the overall strategic plan.

• To develop, implement, maintain and evaluate realistic fundraising programs within the agreed strategic priorities and long term planning of FPA India.

• To ensure an annual income from donors, Foundations, trusts & CSR divisions as per the Annual Plan Budget.

• To develop and maintain effective and long term relationship with donors, Foundations, trusts & CSR divisions.

• To write the annual plan including income targets and expenditure budgets for the Resource Mobilization.

• To report monthly results and to monitor income and expenditure accordingly to plan & annual budget.

• Assist in identifying and researching potential Foundation/donor base outside India to expand the potential income & Diaspora funding.

• Develop compile proposals and concept notes to apply for funding from Donors , Foundation & others, as needed.

• To assist in developing effective IEC/BCC material for the Association.

• To assist in dealing with all sorts of communication oral and written, like letters, meetings and seminars using effective communication.

• To assist in developing and upgrading the Association’s website.

• To perform duties any other as assigned by your reporting authority.
