Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government organization.


AKRSP (I) was established in Gujarat in 1984 and it seeks to contribute to rural poverty reduction through community involvement and empowerment that leads to the efficient management and improved productivity of natural resources.

1. Team Leader - Governance :

a. Location: Badwani , Madhya Pradesh

b. Education: Post-Graduate in social science, rural management or any other related

c. Experience: Minimum 4 years experience in development sector, especially of working on governance issues with different stakeholders

d. Skills & Competencies required:

I. Ability to inspire and be inspired, openness to learning, think out of the box, openness to new ideas and willingness to learn.
II. Person who can work collaboratively with PRI, government and CBOs.
III. Self-motivated and passionate for social change with strong organizational and time management skills.
IV. Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlines.
V. Proven experience of working with tools of mass media including ICT for social change.
VI. Excellent communication, both written and oral, and presentation skills.
VII. Fluency in Hindi and English is must.
VIII. Ability to use Information Technology and other mediums for project objectives.

e. Job Role:
• To undertake awareness campaign using different mass media and ICT.
• Asses the gaps in community level and government systems for effective service delivery and develop strategy for strengthening the system.
• Capacity building of stakeholders, including government staff, elected representatives and CBO leaders on different aspects of governance and government systems.
• Liasioning with the different government departments and creating collaborative spaces for improving the service delivery systems.
• Ensuring effective designing, implementation, preparation of quarterly and annual plan and ensure effective implementation of plans.
• Provide guidance and motivation to the project team through handholding and reflection.
• To conduct periodic impact assessment and review of the project interventions.
• To undertake documentation of project intervention and best practices for internal and external use.
