PSI promotes and distributes 11 health products, using commercial channels and outlets to make available quality health products at affordable prices. The basket of products includes condoms, oral contraceptives, intra uterine devices, emergency contraceptives, ORS, water purification solutions; IFA tablets; clean delivery kits and pre-packaged STI treatment kit. A. POSITION PURPOSE:
B. To lead and facilitate implementation of all demand generation activities in the state and will be accountable for Contact targets/Networking and forming linkages with stakeholders. These positions are subject to donor funding.
C. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares communication strategy and operational plans and budgets based on the program design.
• Identifies, orients and monitors media agencies involved in the design, production, and execution of multifaceted communications campaign including mid media communication.
• Develop Training Module & calendar & conduct training for communication staff.
• Developing the communication activity format for tracking & analyzing implementation of communication activity plan.
• Ensuring timely submission of communication activity reports.
• Works closely with the state program manager and other team members.
• Coordinate with & support national team to address TSG requirements.
• Documents the project communication activities and prepares reports as requested.
• Ensures achievement of the communication contact targets by developing operational strategy in consultation with on the ground communication team.
• Develop & conduct communication activities for special events requested by NACO
• Any other tasks that may be required.
D. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Post Graduate in Communications.
• Seven (7) & above years of experience in the field of brand management, marketing planning, advertising agency relations, campaign planning and implementation and market research, new product launches.
• Knowledge of issues around HIV/AIDS.
• Willing to spend minimum 70% time in field
E. SKILLS:
• Added advantage in case of:
- Experience with healthcare products.
- Experience in the Development Sector.
- Good networking with local advertising and creative agencies.
- Knowledge of family Planning or Public Health.
