Invites applications for the position of Office Secretary based at New Delhi

Minimum Eligibility:

• Female candidates below 30 years of age shall be preferred
• Graduate candidates requested to apply; candidates having undertaken course in Secretarial Management are desired
• Minimum experience of 2 years; candidates having previously worked in international research organizations would be preferred
• Admirable knowledge of computer applications (MS Office), email and internet browsing
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Hindi

Required Qualities & Responsibilities: 

• Adept at file management, documentation, taking dictations and drafting letters
• Attending official telephone calls
• Keeping track of visitors from HQ and other ICARDA-related people (arrival and departure records, arranging airport pickup and dropping, ticket procurement, accommodation, etc.)
• Preparation of visa documents for Regional Coordinator, office staff and other ICARDA guests, as well as keeping regular contact with embassies
• Arranging travel and logistics for national/international colleagues, HQ scientists, Regional Coordinator and office staff
• Tracking and replying important mails in consultation with Regional Coordinator
• Keeping appointment and engagement records of Regional Coordinator
• Any other work assigned by Regional Coordinator, ICARDA-SACRP, New Delhi
 

General information:

Each position is initially for one year. It is renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the organizations’ continuing need for the position. A competitive salary shall be offered to the right candidate.
