REASON FOR HIRE:

Oxfam
attaches great importance to an efficient and effective delivery of program and in diversifying its donor base. The Manager Fundraising – Donor Relations is a key position that will support the team members in India, in raising resources. This position would help Oxfam India convert one off donors to monthly donors and to retain and grow their value by relationship building and regular communication initiatives.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Develop, manage and implement a fundraising retention & relationship strategy for donors in conjunction with the Director - Fundraising.
• Achieve agreed income goals to meet operational needs.
• Lead, manage & expand Oxfam India's Monthly Giving Programme
• Recruit, manage and motivate the fundraising agencies across various cities and train them to deliver efficient results
• Lead, Manage & expand the portfolio for high value donors.
• Undertake monitoring and evaluation of fundraising activities and achievements related to agreed targets and cost/ income ratio.
• Manage, build and motivate the fundraising agencies agreed targets and across various cities and train them to deliver efficient results.
• Develop & implement effective plans for donor servicing ensuring timely and efficient services.
• Develop a donor segmentation strategy & targeted communication based on the segments.
• Process management for donor retention - sending on time thank you packs welcome packs etc.

COMPETENCIES & SOFT SKILLS

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
• Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work well and flexibly in hard-working, multi disciplinary teams based at different locations.
• Ability to work on own initiative, manage complex workloads and deliver outputs to agreed deadlines

CANDIDATE PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must Haves:

• Minimum 5-7 years sales / fundraising experience with demonstrable track record in relationship building.
• Post Graduation Qualification
• Good knowledge of direct marketing.
• Innovative and strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
• Result driven to reach ambitious growth.
• Analytical ability on database management.
• Ability to budget and to monitor income and expenditure.
• Understanding of different fundraising channels like DRTV, Face 2 Face, Telemarketing, Direct mail, online, etc.
