JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Sponsor Relations Officer  

Division/Department: Sponsor Relations 

Location: Bangalore

Reporting Relationship: Sponsor Relations Manager    

SUMMARY

The position is responsible for consolidating of sponsorship data as mentioned below; additionally the job entails coordinating key activities in the sponsorship function, while maintaining corporate status on SR systems, files and backup of critical information at the National Office. 


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Child inventory
Prepare details of children, update CIF into LINCs, send data to the International Office (IO), follow up for Child Status Slips (CSS), receive Request Assignment Materials (RAM) for updation of child data and send to projects, collate departure report, new child enrollment report, maintain files and records in order to maintain allotted quota of children in ChildFund India.

Child Communication
Ensure smooth communication between child and sponsor by coordinating with projects to send letters from child to sponsor, generate pending reports, send Child Progress Reports to sponsors, process correspondence & gift items sent by sponsors and forward cheques to the Finance Department.

Sponsor Enquiries
Receive sponsor enquiries from IO or from sponsors directly, forward letter to concerned managers, maintain project wise logs & check for updation, collaborate with projects to handle sponsor queries, if information is not readily available

Data Management
Provide inputs for preparation of monthly/ quarterly reports, assist in budget preparation, analyze data generated through SSIMS; identify critical issues and follow up for closure with projects, prepare annual SITE.

Special Assignments
Initiate special projects, nominate projects for training, prepare training materials, assess training effectiveness, prepare reports, visit projects and customize training methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
           
A Bachelor’s degree in any development discipline. A Master’s degree would be an advantage
Excellent computer skills (Windows environment)
A minimum of five years’ experience in a progressive INGO/NGO environment with an mix of field and sponsorship systems
Speaking, reading and writing of at least one local language would be an advantage. Willingness to learn other languages/dialects desirable.
