REASON FOR HIRE:

Oxfam
attaches great importance to an efficient and effective delivery of program and in diversifying its donor base. The Manager Fundraising – Corporate Partnerships is a key position that will support the team members in India, in raising resources. The role focuses on developing the partnerships and strategic engagement with corporates in assigned geographies & sectors.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, write and implement the Oxfam India Corporate fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Regional offices.
• Meet defined fundraising targets and lead the team to meet organisation’s fundraising targets.
• Initiate and build strategic relationships with Corporates.
• Develop and lead the process of conceptualizing and writing proposals and following it up with respective corporate.
• Building fund-raising capacity with programme teams and inducting new staff on funding issues.
• Analyze and provide advice to programme staff on the funding policies.
• Monitor corporate donor servicing & ensure quality outputs.
• Identify, assess and approach new potential corporate partnerships.
• Ensure that contract management meets donor requirements while ensuring compliance to Oxfam procedures and system & ethical guidelines issues.
• Represent Oxfam in relevant forums and events.

COMPETENCIES & SOFT SKILLS

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
• Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work well and flexibly in hard-working, multi disciplinary teams based at different locations.
• Ability to work on own initiative, manage complex workloads and deliver outputs to agreed deadlines

CANDIDATE PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must Haves:


• A post graduate or MBA with minimum 5 - 7 years experience in raising funds from Corporate & Institutions (Trust & Foundations).
• Post Graduation Qualification.
• Experience of writing proposals and reports for the specific purpose of fundraising.
• Proven analytical skills and the ability to think strategically in relation to fundraising.
• An in depth understanding of funding issues in relation to NGOs work in emergencies, development & campaigns.
• Substantial project management experience, including the management of teams and people.
• Experience of capacity building of team.
• Organisational awareness – understanding of organisation’s vision & values and use them in everyday working.
