of one Young Professional in the Health & Family Welfare Division, Planning
Commission
The
Health & Family Welfare Division, Planning Commission
requires the services of one Young Professional (YP) on contract basis with the
following job description, educational qualifications, terms & conditions:
(1) Outline of the tasks to be carried out: Within the
broad guidelines for Universal Health Care (UHC) pilots issued by the Ministry
of Health & Family Welfare, States need expert advice and support in the
design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of UHC Pilots, considering
their unique conditions. This task, which the incumbent is expected to perform,
would involve desk work, consultations and action both at the National, State
and UHC Pilots implementation levels.
(2)
Qualifications and Experience :
(A)
Essential Qualifications:
(i) Master’s Degree in Economics / Statistics /
Econometrics / Management with a specialization in health or
(ii) Graduate in “health-related discipline” with Post-Graduate
degree in “Public Health / Community Medicine / Management” from a recognized
University/Institute and
(iii) Knowledge of a statistical application such as R,
Stata and office productivity applications like spread-sheet, e-mail client.
Note:
1. “Health-related discipline” includes Medicine, Ayush,
Dentistry and Nursing;
2. Candidates need to have excellent academic and
professional track record.
(B) Desirable Qualifications
(i) Ph.D. or research experience.
(ii) Professional experience in planning/execution/evaluation
of projects or academic work in the Health sector.
(iii) Experience in collection, compilation and analysis
of data.
(iv) Track record of publications in peer reviewed
journals.
(3) Duration: The appointment will be on contract basis
for a period of twelve months only, which will not be further extended.
(4) Age Limit: The maximum age limit shall be 40 years.
(5) Fee and Conveyance Fee: The Consolidated fee shall
range between Rs.25,000/- to Rs.40,000/- per month depending on qualifications
& experience. Local conveyance: The Young Professional will be paid an
additional amount of Rs.1, 500/- per month, as local conveyance.

Selection Process will be as follows:
(a) Screening and shortlisting of eligible candidates on
the basis of qualification/experience, using a benchmark;
(b) Written Assessment of shortlisted candidates; and
(c) Interview of candidates found eligible in written
assessment.
The written assessment and interview would be held at
Planning Commission office at New Delhi for which no TA/DA shall be paid to the
candidates.

one of which must be from an academic counselor under whom the candidate has
studied in Graduation/Post-Graduation/Ph.D. and another from the supervisor
under whom candidates has worked/interned), by post only so as to reach the
Planning Commission by the close of office (5.30 p.m.) within 15 days from the
