HelpAge
India is a reputed charity known for its pioneering work in
support of the disadvantaged elderly. HelpAge India has been working for over
35 years in India. Our work has benefited over 8 million elderly and
our programmes cater to more than 1.5 million older people every year. We work
in the areas of health care, livelihood support, residential care, disaster
mitigation, social security and rights of poor elderly. The funding for the
programmes is largely indigenous and raised from individual, institutional and
corporate donors. We also advocate for formation of policy related to the
elderly.
HelpAge
India as part of its Vision of A society where elderly
have the right to lead active, healthy and dignified life has set out to
achieve adequate incomes and livelihood for 2 million elderly by 2020
through institutions of elderly and build a national movement of elders that
gives them a voice and political constituency.
